Chakra Activations

Learn how to choose art by colour, chakra and you can guide your energy at home.

For thousands of years, Vedic traditions from India have worked with the chakra system as a way of understanding how energy moves through the body.

Each chakra responds to colour, and that response builds over time through what you live with and look at every day.

If you are a spiritual woman, an earthy woman, a witchy woman creating Boho interiors that reflect your life, this matters more than you think.

Your home is not separate from your energy, but is a symbiotic relationship

It might seem woo woo (god I hate that term!) , but it is easy to forget that the art on your walls is working on your body in this way.

What you see daily shapes how connected you feel in yourself.

The Chakras, Colour by Colour

You already know when a room contains your most expansive you, properly.

The knowing that, what you’re drawn to here in this space, it isn’t random. That's because your energy knows what colours it needs to remember from, and what it needs to ease away from.

Red sits at the Root Chakra (Muladhara). It brings you back into your body. That sense of being supported in your life, of having somewhere to land. When red is present in your space, your system softens. You don’t have to stay on edge.

Orange moves through the Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana). This is your creativity and your emotional current, but also your relationship with pleasure. Orange shifts the atmosphere. It encourages movement, feeling, expression that isn’t overly controlled.

Yellow lives in the Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura). This is your sense of self. Your confidence, your direction, your ability to stand in your own decisions. Yellow holds a steady light. It helps you stay with yourself.

Green opens through the Heart Chakra (Anahata). It brings a sense of balance into the room. There’s space to give and space to receive. Green allows everything else to settle into place without strain.

Pink sits in the High Heart Chakra, the Thymus (Hridaya). This is where compassion meets honesty. It carries warmth, but it also carries discernment. Pink changes the tone of a space in a very human way. You feel it straight away.

Blue moves through the Throat Chakra (Vishuddha). Your voice, your expression, the truth that wants to come through you. Blue slows things down. It creates space to breathe and to speak in a way that feels aligned.

Indigo rests in the Third Eye Chakra (Ajna). This is your inner knowing. The part of you that reads energy, that senses what’s underneath the surface. Indigo draws you inward and strengthens that connection.

Violet connects to the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara). There’s a sense of openness here. A quiet awareness that you’re part of something wider. Violet brings that into the room without needing to overstate it.

When these colours sit together, your body responds as a whole. There’s a feeling of coherence. Something about it feels so very right.

This is why work like this sits so naturally in a boho interior, or a home shaped by ritual and personal meaning. It belongs alongside natural textures, soft light, objects that carry memory. It supports the way you already move through your space.

It becomes part of the atmosphere. A presence you live with.
A reminder that you already know how to come back to yourself.
