Bringing together the Greek Muse of dance and the spirit of Bacchanal, this bold, blue and vibrant work celebrates the freedom to move, express yourself and take up space on your own terms.

Inspired by my experiences playing Mas at Carnival and a meditation vision about the role of hip movement in my own womb-healing journey, the original painting explores dance as an ancient technology for reconnecting with our bodies.

From wining to twerking, this is an unapologetic celebration of Black cultural expression, bodily freedom and the power of pleasure.
